When Are Vector Images Utilized in Printing?

Instead of dots, vector pictures consist of points plotted along a mathematically produced path. Vector pictures can be scaled to any size without quality loss. The AI, SVG, and EPS formats are popular vector picture formats. The text should always be in vector format. Line drawings, such as plans or blueprints, should always be in vector format.

Everything that is not a photograph functions better as a vector.
